Getting old means injuring yourself in the weirdest of ways. I’ve sprained my neck drying my hair, dealt with back pain for about a week after bending over to show DaughterGeeding a photo I just taken of her, and woke up with a sprained ankle. On friday I sprained my achilles tendon just walking down the stairs.
I noticed the Nebraska Furniture Mart had a quite of bit of cars on Sunday. I was curious if it was some kind of soft opening or massive employee training, it was a bit of both.
The first place I’ve ever seen a Dyson Airblade hand dryer was at Ikea, but after a visit this weekend, I’ve noticed they have been removed.
One of my close friends is a pastor and he’s been updating his website during his visit to Israel. I was quite moved by this post since he was preaching on Mark 4 where the event actually happened. For a preacher, that has to be a very special moment.
Tempting Video or GIF of the Day – A young lady is testing a leg press machine when something goes wrong, and I think the guy next to her accidentally grabbed her breast when trying to help.
A Reddit ShowerThought that caught my attention – “It isn’t” and “It’s not” are the same three words, just contractionalized differently.
It was surprising to hear about Terry Dorsey’s death, especially since he recently retired from the radio waves. But man, he sure did survive a lot – “In addition to the blockage in his carotid artery,” which had been causing him to black out, “he had a heart attack 23 years ago when he was 45 years old, prostate cancer 15 years ago, a small stroke five years ago, and esophageal cancer.”
I have experience purchasing both through my job. The Dyson hand dryers are insanely expensive >$1300 vs the Xlerators that are around $500. The Dysons are also a nightmare to keep clean because of the water that drips down onto the bottom part of the unit.
Didn't Terry Dorsey also survive a plane/helicopter crash? I used to get a kick out of his ex wife comments. She was from Bellevue, a small town north of Bowie. About 300 population for as long as I can remember. That is where my mother grew up.
Also, the "Jesus is responsible for the harm" story is a bit of a reach. It could jsut as easily read "Satan", or "Santa Claus" or "Tooth Fairy". The main stream press goes to great lengths to denigrate Christianity.
I didn't think the Jesus license plate story was any kind of swipe at Christianity, I just took it as a funny or odd occurrence and think the story would have ran if the plate had words such as JOY, PEACE, or NIRVANA on it.
That video was gross. That lady's knee bent "backwards" ouch!
So what did Ikea replace those Dyson dryers with? I get really annoyed when restrooms don't offer paper towels because I use them to open the doors.
The Xlerator which I've never been fond of: http://www.amazon.com/XLERATOR-Automatic-Surface-…
