  • Man, it felt good back back into the swing of things after vacation, and it helped that all of the TICKET crew were back on the air.
  • I’ve got me a sinus infection and the good doctor gave me a shot and some meds.  I didn’t think it would be a sinus infection because I can easily breath through my nose, but the doc said because of my sinus surgery, that should never be an issue.  As I look back, that surgery is one of the best things that have ever happened to me.
  • I had to drop off our GMC SUV at the dealership and as a loaner they gave me a brand new GMC Texas Edition extended cab truck with a lot of bells and whistles.  It’s gonna be hard to give that thing back.
  • Barry over at LiberallyLean.com thinks I’ve been making husbands look bad as of late.  Well, when you aren’t an always in physically shape attorney that takes your wife to tropical getaways and helps her children with complex building/physics projects, you have to make up for it in other ways.  I hope Mrs LL knows how good she had it.  The most exotic place I took WifeGeeding last year was probably Six Flags.
  • People complain when oil prices are high, people complain when oil prices are low.
  • Here’s a free copy of the latest Texas Almanac.
  • Fox keeps showing commercials for their new show ‘Empire’ and I crack up at the boardroom they are using because there’s an NBA style basketball backboard/goal in it.  I didn’t notice it until probably the 15th time the commercial aired.  Somewhat related, I also crack up at the latest Rob Lowe DirecTV commercial where he’s a “meathead”.  I didn’t notice it until the first few times, but in the last scene there’s a shelf full of protein powder in the background as he’s getting in the tanning bed.
  • I watched my first Mavericks game of the year and saw Dirk hit that three in OT and become number seven on the all time scoring list.  This city doesn’t know how lucky we are to have him, and I don’t know why I don’t watch more Mavs games, and I do miss Bob Ortegal.  I guess it’s because Fox Sports Southwest isn’t on my radar.  Radar, btw, is my favorite palindrone.

  • Part of the script from last night’s Fox4 News
  • Girl Scouts Release Three New Cookies, Including Two Gluten-Free Flavors
  • Today’s dose of ‘MURICA!
  • David Oyelowo is a black British actor that plays MLK in the movie Selma and he was on Letterman last night.  He stated that in the U.S., what we call pants, they call trousers.  And what we call underwear, they call pants.  While in wardrobe for Selma he was quite confused when asked to take his pants off because they didn’t fit right.
  • I had no idea that until the new ‘Late Late Show’ starts, that Drew Cary was going to guest host.  It was actually a nice surprise last night.
  • @NotKennyRogers – Love is patient, love is kind, love has absolutely nothing to do with competing against 20 other women for the affection of a dolt on ABC.

I was surprised by Drew, too. I guess they'll go through a rotation of guest hosts until Corden starts in March. They did the same thing before Craig took over.

Absolutely nothing about Empire looks appealing to me. It looks awful. Girl Scout cookies, on the other hand, I find extremely appealing.

Sure going to miss Dirk when he's gone. We've been very lucky to have him.

Your comment about oil price complaining. I think that the complainers for low prices (oil companies and mineral owners) and the complainers for high prices (everyone else) are different groups.

Get a neti pot. Seriously. You think your squatty potty is good, get a neti pot.
