Somewhat Related: In my undergrad marketing class, I remember the professor telling a story about how Ray Kroc would fly over cities looking for church steeples and choose that area to build a new McDonald’s to attract families. Over the years I doubted that story, but it’s stated in this text book as well as a book he wrote back in 1977.
