Much to my disappointment, the guy that got drunk at last year’s holiday party and asked our President and CEO a bunch of embarrassing questions couldn’t attend this year.
I ended up sitting across from our VP who’s a beekeeper in his spare time, and he went into a lot of detail of what all that entails. He grew up in a very sheltered home and has never seen many popular movies, even The Wizard of Oz, and he has no desire to see it. I mention that because he was asked to dress up as the Straw Man for a group themed Halloween contest and he didn’t know the reference.
Since I was out pretty late last night, I really just threw this Bag of Randomness together.
U2 has a tour planned for next year – U2 iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour 2015 – It starts in May and they play two shows per city, and according to the injuring cycling shade wearing lead singer, each show is suppose to have “a completely different feeling from night one to night two.” The bummer for me is that they will only be in six U.S. cities, the closest to me being Phoenix, so I’ll have to wait until 2016. Since each show is suppose to have a different feel, I’d probably try to go to both shows. Even though Bono doesn’t play the guitar a lot, I’m curious to know if he’ll limit his playing or will play at all. The descriptions of his injuries and rehab made me think it would be a problem. The floor plan looks interesting, with a runway going down the middle of the arena.
WifeGeeding’s stock went up many points when I told her that the closest U2 concert to us would be in Phoenix and she replied, “You wanna go?” Yes, why yes I do, but it wouldn’t be a financially sound decision.
Chicago is actually closer by 150 miles or so. You’d be surprised how cheap it is to get to both places now that Southwest flies there. I’ve gotten plane tickets to both cities in the past couple of months for right around $200. If you can go during non-peak hours, you can really get a good deal. Hotel prices aren’t horrible either in both cities.
P.s Micah is such a well manned little girl. hope she gave you my message.

This is the first time I've ever heard the Scarecrow called the "Straw Man."
I have to admit, the petting zoo shirt is pretty funny.
