- We got an actual Christmas card in the mail yesterday from one of WifeGeedings relatives. Come on folks, tap the breaks.
- I’ve never had a cracked screen on my phone until yesterday, and I don’t know how it happened. My contract with Sprint ends at the end of this month, and I think we’re going to go the Verizon route since they have better reception in the sticks of East Texas where WifeGeeding’s parents live. I actually want to give T-Mobile a try but their East Texas coverage isn’t that strong. AT&T isn’t an option as I consider them partners with the devil.
- I got some Subway to got yesterday and when I get my tea, I like to have mostly unsweetened tea with just a splash of sweet. When I got home, it appears the Subway crew accidentally pulled a switcheroo by putting the sweet in the unsweet and the unsweet in the sweet.
- Most Impressive – In 1993, Carrie Fisher did a photo shoot for Rolling Stone in the Princess Leia metal slave bikini.
- Andy Warhol’s “Triple Elvis” sold for $81.9 million yesterday and I was amazed that I actually stood right next to that expensive piece of art, but it turns out I only stood next to the Double Elvis.
- Late night was made for me last night with Jon Oliver basically taking over ‘The Daily Show’ and Jon Stewart as a guest on Letterman. I haven’t seen Dave laugh so joyously in such a long time, but he certainly did so with Frank Caliendo.
- Speaking of late night, I’m looking forward to U2 week on Fallon next week.

The Princess Leia spread is amazing.
By my math, Double Elvis is worth $55 million. Still something cool to see.
Agreed with Anon Married Guy – 10-yr-old me wishes he had discovered back copies of Rolling Stone. 37-yr-old me realizes what a powerful short-term-diet drug cocaine can be.
The Ted Cruz comic is crazy. I like how two of the four things it lists as reasons for American Exceptionalism are Inclusion and Diversity. Those aren't exactly strong planks in the GOP platform, are they?
I kept an eye out for feral cats when we were at Disneyland this summer, but alas, I didn't see any. To be fair, they have a lot of ground to cover. They may need some more of them, though, because I did see a couple of 5-ft-tall mice running around.
If you are going to go to Verizon, take a long look at the new Droid Turbo. A co-worker got one and it is a beast.
