I read this article this morning, and I'm eagerly awaiting the rest of the series. Also, this introduced me to the term "gundamentalist," which may be the best new word I've learned all month.
I hate when people use scripture to justify anything other than good works. Jesus damn sure didn’t condone violence. And don’t even get me started on the open carry morons! That being said, I own every type of standard firearm (rifle, shotgun, pistol); some for protection, others for food, and others still for the mere enjoyment I get from the shooting sports. All that being said, you’ll notice in places with higher rates of concealed carry licenses, you have fewer crimes. It should also be noted, however, that the overall crime rate has been falling steadily for the last two decades. This country needs to start teaching our children about the value of life again, and that an eye for an eye leaves the entire world blind.
