- I got those snappers at our local hobby store. I also learned the hard way that even with a receipt they don’t offer refunds but only store credit or exchanges. At least I got some balsa wood planes that provided a couple hours of fun with the kids before breaking them.

It will be interesting to see which direction hotels and tourist destinations take in the near future. Disney World is nearing completion of implementing a new RFID-based system that puts everything for your trip on a band on your wrist. They're similar to the bands used at Great Wolf Lodge, but come with more features. They're called MagicBands, and they serve as your room key, your park admission ticket, your FastPass tickets (to help you skip lines), your PhotoPass card (for in-park pictures), your dining plan and reservation info, and more. You can also link it to your credit card and use it for one-swipe paying, after entering a PIN, of course. It's also linked to the Disney app so that you can make changes to your options (such as dining and attraction reservations) from your smartphone.
Disney reportedly has spent somewhere between $1-2 billion to develop and install the system from the ground up. I haven't had the chance to use it yet, but it definitely looks like the wave of the future for companies with the capital to build the necessary infrastructure. In other words, it will never appear at Six Flags…
