The Guy Who Beat Eric Cantor Is Totally Hot, Former Students Say

guythatbeatcantorDave Brat, the Virginia college professor who shockingly beat House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in a Republican congressional primary, is a pretty solid teacher by most accounts.

According to comments left by former students on RateMyProfessors.com, he’s extremely helpful and conveys his ideas clearly, even if he’s not the easiest grader. Some more critical Randolph-Macon College students said he often strayed from the syllabus, but there’s one thing they seem to agree on: he’s really good-looking.

“He’s total eye candy!!” reads one review.

“At least he’s hot!!” goes another.

“Brat changes assignments all the time, but he is so charming, you forget to be mad at him,” says one more.

Ugh; we elect politicians based on their appearance. We elect statesmen based on their accomplishments and vision. Not saying that not-good-looking = good politician, but there are a whole lot of cases where good-looking = bad politician. I'd rather have a Bernie Sanders than a Michele Bachmann…and don't even get me started on the great white huntress…

Also – don't know about VA teachers, but many pols in Washington have faces (and often hairlines/colors) that nature did not grace them with. Lotsa face lifts, botox, and rugs 🙁

On the topic of Congressman-elect Brat, it sounds like he's farther right than Cantor, who was pretty conservative.

That guy went to Hope College and Princeton Seminary, as did I, and teaches at my mother-in-law's alma mater. Weird!!!
