- An interesting GIF of how Sochi has changed in six years.
- Jim Wright was interviewed by the local CBS affiliate yesterday about the expiration of the Wright Amendment and I was a bit surprised they only referred to him as former Congressman Jim Wright instead of former Speaker of the House Jim Wright, especially since he represented the area for about 34 years. Yet I am one of those that don’t think the title of Speaker should be carried over once his or her service is complete.

I don't think hitting a pinata counts as "playing the stereotype" when it is an accepted and loved part of our culture. That's l like saying "they're eating rice again…typical Asians." Now if they have their last name spelled out in Gothic letters or a Virgin Mary gracing the back glass of the car, I'll give it to you.
The Baker creeps me out every time I drive past it. I can't see MW ever being a tourist/resort destination.
I'm of course sentimental, but I'm sure 20 years ago the folks of Frisco never thought what they would become. Maybe if they can model the town similar to a Hot Springs, Arkansas getaway with PK and MW Lake nearby something might work out.
