How I’ve Changed In The Last Eight Years

I use Picasa to manage my photos and it has a face recognition feature where it will organize and display only the face of the person in the photos.  As I was scrolling through pictures of my face I couldn’t help but noticed how much I’ve changed over the years.  Below is a picture of myself taken in October over the last eight years.  And for whatever reason you may wish, you can click to enlarge the collage.

When I started working at Southwest Airlines I was told that before I would know it, I’d gain a lot of weight without realizing it.  My Southwest years were 2007-2010 and those words unfortunately proved true.

It’s also interesting to see how much has happened in those years.  I lost my mother, I became a father, I’ve changed jobs four times, and moved once.

In the last photo I see a strong resemblance to your father from a picture you posted a while back.

The aging changes you have observed over the past seven years is a malady commonly suffered by many great historical figures (e.g. Augustus Caesar, Otto the Great, Abraham Lincoln, FDR, Howard Taft, etc.).

Sadly, by the time you reach your late 90s you can expect your visage to have transformed into a rugged chiseled look. Sorry, but it just happens.

Is this like voting for which Elvis will be put on the stamp?
