No clue if it is true. Sure looks fishy. If the tooth nerve is exposed and pain medication or lidocaine is applied directly to the nerve, it can help to numb tooth pain. When I would want this device is for those times when you have an abscess tooth and can't get into a dentist for several days. Just drill into the tooth, relieve some of the pressure, and get that root canal asap!
