This picture is cooler than you probably think

The Pale Blue Dot is a photograph of planet Earth taken in 1990 by the Voyager 1 spacecraft from a record distance of about 6 billion kilometers (3.7 billion miles) from Earth.  Wikipedia

No other picture of Earth has been taken from so far away and it was done with 1970’s technology.

I’m referencing this picture because Voyager 1 has just entered interstellar space, which means it’s in a region beyond the influence of the sun or solar winds. That thing has been traveling at 38,000 mph.

I bet millenniums from now it will be returned to Earth.
