I don’t think Newt has ever heard of the term ‘smartphone’

He likes to call these devices a hand held computer, but is trying to find a better name to call it.

At first I thought it may have been an old video, but it was published just a few days ago.

My neightbor is his age and still uses his trusty Razr flip phone. I'm not much better with my iPhone 4. As you age, cutting edge technology loses it's luster. My grandmother never used the microwave we gave her. It set on her counter for three years until she died. And my buddy purchased a cordless phone for his grandfather, who worked out in his shop a lot. Imagine my friends surprise when he visited his grandfather and he had tied the handset to the base with a peice of string. When asked why, his grandfather said "I kept losing the handset". LOL!

Oh, Newt. I wish I could understand what he goal was in this video.

With politics aside, one strength that Obama has taken advantage of is technology in politics. The republicans (in general…there are always exceptions) have lagged in this area. Newt doesn't really help that stereotype with this video, either.
