Feel Good Story of the Day

Jon Kitna is a former NFL quarterback, who’s last stint was as a backup with the Cowboys.  He returned home to teach (algebra of all things) and coach.  He asked the principal for the worst students, and after a lot of time, effort, and compassion, and really reached them.

The article also mentions how Cowboys players like Tony Romo and DeMarcus Ware, as well as the Cowboys and Seahawks have lent a helping hand.

It’s a bit of a long read, but I think well worth it.

You can read it here.  Seriously, it’s worth your time, especially after all the negative news that’s been everywhere as of late.

One Response to Feel Good Story of the Day

I always appreciated Kitna from his time here and the work he did replacing Romo and rallying the team. This really is a great story, especially at this time of year. The only sad aspect to this tale is that this is just one instance. There are schools and kids like this everywhere and there are not enough Jon Kitna's who can ride in and save the day.
