Russell Brand interviews two members of the Westboro Baptist Church

I’m not a fan of either and usually don’t like to give WBC much attention, but I found this interview, all ten minutes of it, quite interesting and somewhat entertaining, and also a bit annoying.

At least it’s open dialog, and I think that’s a good thing.

And the number of crosses around Brand’s neck is a funny bit.

One Response to Russell Brand interviews two members of the Westboro Baptist Church

I watched. It hurt but I watched. Some thoughts…
    – Mr. Brand…I'm impressed. I suppose the Perry family was a great fit. Who knew.
    – I have always felt we should always listen to the other side even if we don't agree in religion and politics. But, I'm starting to wonder if I should change that stance. Not sure what I should tell my kids. Some hate speech is just unproductive to give the time to listen and this is a great example.
    – What was the goal here? To disagree or sensationalism?
    – At least I'll be in good company with Gandhi in hell. Besides, sounds like only Westboro members would make it to Heaven and I wouldn't want to keep company with them anyways.
