#onesmalltweet

Although legendary astronaut Neil Armstrong passed away last month at the age of 82, his legacy will always live on as the first man to set foot on the moon. The John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in New York has put together a clever project that lets Twitter users pay tribute by recreating Armstrong’s trip to the moon.

The experiment works through the use of the Twitter hashtag #onesmalltweet, which, when used in a tweet, adds 100 miles to the virtual journey. Each message is then displayed on the OneSmallTweet website as the trip approaches the final goal of 238,900 miles.
