Ragu has a new series of interesting commercials featuring kids. Yes, the spaghetti sauce company has some interesting and funny commercials. For instance one deals with one of the grossest yet loving feelings of when a mother cleans off our face with her spit, and another focuses on the importance of knocking before entering. Check them out here. [Thank you, Ms Watson!]
So far one the greatest perks of GirlGeeding growing up is that she can now let the dogs in and out of the door which means I can stay seated in my recliner.
When gassing up the car and you set it on the continuous pump setting and it stops on a flat dollar amount, that’s almost a moment of enlightenment. Same thing anytime you buy multiple things at the store.
If Romney wins the elections and the Democrats hold on to the majority in the Senate and the Republicans hold on to the majority, two Mormons will hold a lot of power in our government.
When we send a Congressman or Senator to Washington, are we wanting them to make decisions based upon their electorate or do we want them to make decisions they think are best for their electorate and the country as a whole? I’ve wrestled with that question a lot since reading the Sam Houston portion Profiles in Courage. A summary of his profile in the book can be read here.

Usain Bolt’s introduction was a bit over dramatic yesterday for the 200m, it went something like “He’s not only the fastest runner on the planet, but of allll the planets . . . . Usaiiiin Bolllllt.”
I read a “Mad Men” article in which Christina Hendricks and Matthew Weiner was being interviewed and I thought it made some interesting points that I wanted to let WifeGeeding know about. I’m not sure if she knew the actress that plays Joan is named Christina Hendricks, so before I started to tell the story I asked if she knew who Christina Hendricks was. Her reply, “The big boobs girl with red hair.” Heck, I was expected something more like, “Yeah, Joan off of Mad Men.”
Running Deer Shooting was an Olympic sport more than once . . . check out this interesting chart of Olympic sports of the past. The two-handed shot put should would look interesting, and I really would love to see the tug-of-war, but just the name of the sport of motor boating make me giggle.
Randy Travis really needs a good friend he can trust. We all have our trials and tribulations. Luckily, our bad times don't make the news. I hope there is someone good in his inner circle that is willing to help.
