Hitchhiker writing ‘Kindness’ memoirs shot in Montana

A West Virginia man who is writing his memoirs on The Kindness of America as he hitchhikes across the country has been injured in what authorities call a random shooting in Montana, The Great Falls Tribune reports.

Ray Dolin, 39, told deputies that he sitting on his backpack near Glasgow when a pickup truck pulled up next to him. The driver, he says, pointed a gun out the window and shot him in the arm, then drove off.
