Bag of Randomness

  • I don’t know what my church is thinking.  They are putting me in a co-leadership deacon position and that will make me be the lead deacon next year.  I was also asked to consider being a worship assistant.
  • The government wasted lots of cash trying to pursue Roger Clemens, but hey, if you almost daring congress to charge you in front of a hearing, you are almost forced to do something.
  • I’m still on a saltine cracker kick.
  • That new Microsoft Surface tablet sure looks interesting.  Bill Gates always wanted to control the software and let others do the hardware, but now it looks like Microsoft is really moving away from that philosophy.  Hey, it’s worked for Apple, but if you are going to do it, do it right and do it well, very well.
  • If you are a high school senior with senioritus, beware.
  • I’ve never watched one episode of SpongeBob.
  • Buy the end of summer there’s a 33.3% chance we will own a minivan.  There’s a 33.3% chance we’ll be driving an SUV that will seat at least seven.  There’s a 33.4% we’ll keep driving our 4Runner.  However, if you ask WifeGeeding, her percentages are different than mine.
  • I don’t think less of anyone with a different political view as I, I only think less of people who cheer and root for the wrong sports team.
  • Over zealous college fans annoy me, case in point.
  • Current day Hatfields and McCoys fight by tug of war.
  • Why does it take so long to get the results of an autopsy?  Does the test(s) performed take weeks to yield a result?
  • I finally bought and hung my first hammock.  I don’t think there’s an elegant way of getting out of it.
  • Arsenio Hall is going to have another late night talk show.  Surely he’ll have another ‘dog pound.’  Wouldn’t it be funny of Michael Vick on day was seated in that section?
  • Legendary car designer Carroll Shelby died on May 10, and his body is still in a Dallas morgue because of a family dispute.
  • I have a friend that thinks he’s being funny, but in reality he’s just being an ass.
  • My children will never have to decide to record in SP, SLP, or LP.

    Morgues are filled with bodies waiting to be opened up in an autopsy. And, after the medical examiner finally does get to the body in question, yes – some tests take longer periods of time to yield results.

    At least, that's what I've learned on "Dr. G. Medical Examiner". 🙂

    I think the government had no choice but to charge Clemens. There has to be some repercussion to lying under oath. Even though the government lost the trial I think that they did emphatically make the point that when you are called to testify under oath there actually is a penalty that will be pursued. Perjury is rarely ever charged because it is hard to prove. Eventually, people will just not care if they lie under oath because no one is ever charged with lying. Answer carefully.

    I bought a minivan a few years ago. I was really tempted to get a crossover, which were designed to replace the minivan. My problem was that the minivan is so comfortable to drive and carries so much stuff that I just could not see how a crossover could have more room for luggage.
