Bob Dole is not a Newt Fan

I have not been critical of Newt Gingrich but it is now time to take a stand before it is too late. If Gingrich is the nominee it will have an adverse impact on Republican candidates running for county, state, and federal offices. Hardly anyone who served with Newt in Congress has endorsed him and that fact speaks for itself. He was a one-man-band who rarely took advice. It was his way or the highway.

How is that any different from the POTUS we have now. Maybe we want someone that will take a position and stand by it. We are tired of Washington approved candidates anyway.

The difference here is that Gingrich cannot even get along with own party, let alone the other party. In various ads [run by Republicans] it doesn't appear that there is a single Republcan that he has worked with in the past who has anything good to say about him.

What Dole may be wrong about is that a Gingrich defeat in the general election is a given. Gingrich was written off at least twice during the primaries but he continues to hang in there. If it wasn't for that casino mogul who contributed $5 million to him he probably would have been gone by now.

The guy scares me. He seems to boiling over with anger and is known for his vindictiveness. Personally, I don't think he sticks with a position. He made a bundle from Freddie Mac and then, when they stopped paying him, he turned around and attacked their very right to exist. He also attacked anyone who had ever supported the agency.
