Bag of Randomness

  • That’s our silly attempt at trying to play fetch. He’s so dark you can hardly see the little guy.
  • Still no name yet for DogGeedingII.  Part of me wants to name him after something U2 related.  No, I don’t want to name him Bono.
  • Many thanks to Scot McKnight for posting DogGeedingII’s picture on his blog and trying to help us find a name.  If any of you Christians are looking for a good read, check out one of his books, you’ll be enlightened.
  • If impersonating Bono by lip-syncing songs to your baby daughter to make her smile is wrong, then I don’t wanna be right.
  • We lose and hour of sleep come this weekend.  As tough as that’s going to be, it will be worth it to have more daylight.
  • I wish my church put a bigger emphasis on Lent.  Our old church did that, and it was such a great experience of expectation and renewal.

That's a fun map of the day. The silly things they want that will prevent students from voting are things like not allowing same-day voter registration, not allowing use of school ID, and defining residency. That's scandalous. Of course the evil Koch brothers are behind it all!

Oh, and Congress can't legislate the amount of daylight we have in a day, they just shift our official time.

    I love your randomness 🙂

  2. Rev. Hart says:

Paul McGuinness is the band's manager; has been since the beginning. McGuinness would be a fine name for your dog, especially since he's black like Guinness beer. He could function as the family's "band manager." 🙂

    Or, there's Hewson.

  3. warren says:

Name him Vox…long time U2 fans will understand it

  4. dan says:

I read the same article about public pension plans. The article also noted that public pension plans are no better or worse than private pension plans. With all the anguish about crushing teacher unions and slashing teacher pay,[ a number of Fox News pundits describe teacher pay as outrageous], I don't know what to believe any more.

  5. thefamilyhart says:

    Ooh, Vox is good too.

  6. guest says:

coal vox could be doggeeding's new name!!

  7. AndreaJN says:

I think your other dogs' names would influence what you name this one? Without invading your privacy, could you tell us what's OtherDogGeeding and what was DogGeeding's name?

    • Geeding says:

DogGeeding's real name was Tuna . . . he was named after Bill Parcells who was the head coach of the Cowboys at the time. OtherDogGeeding's name is Oreo, I'm sure you can guess why.

  8. shawnwilson says:

New dog's name should be Lover in reference to your soon to be new general manager for the Cowboys Sean Payton. Google him to find out why. Breaks my heart.

  9. mike says:

I say call him Joshua, J.T. , or just plain old Josh>>>Joshua Tree…

  10. AndreaJN says:

Well that didn't help at all, sorry. Mike has a good idea with "Josh". 🙂
