The Bacon Explosion is the best use, EVER, of bacon in a bacon based dish. The guys who came up with the Bacon Explosion should be up for a Nobel Prize for creating this awesomeness. In the "mzchief" household, bacon is it's own food group.
BTW…The Bacon Explosion can be, successfully, cooked in an oven. However, you will need to, immediately, clean your oven after you finish baking the Bacon Explosion.
