The last time the George W. Bush administration updated the White House’s website was 11:53 a.m. (EDT). Below is the last image of their website, click to enlarge.
As soon as the Joe Biden was sworn in, the webpage went blank and all you saw was this . . .
But as soon as Obama said “So help me God” this was the first image of the new administration’s White House website, click to enlarge.
I remember doing the same thing eight years ago, and it took about 10-15 minutes for the change in the website.
I bet Bush feels 100lbs lighter without the weight of being the President on his shoulders. I bet he won’t quit smiling for years.
Thanks for this update! How else would we know about the cybertransition if not for you, Keith? I love it.
And what a powerful speech.
Wow. 11:53 EDT, huh? That Obama’s a powerful guy. He can change from Standard time to Daylight Savings just by willing it to be so.
Can’t wait to see what other miracles he has up his sleeve.
Jarhead, go back to LLFTLODQ, or your own dead blog – this is a nice place. Your idiocracy will be a thousand times more obvious here, and won’t go over very well.
The likes of you shall never be rid of me. I will haunt you forever. The best part is that me just being me pisses you off. This amuses me ~ toying with your small mind. One post from me and your head explodes. You are like a puppet on a string; your emotions are mine to control at my leisure. Bwaaaahahaha!
Lighten up, Francis. I thought your new President preached hope, change and tolerance… and what do you do on his first day in office to honor him? You spew intolerance. You sound more like a Bushie, instead of an Obama Zombie. You, sir or madam, oh anonymous one sitting in judgment, are an embarrassment to your ideology.
Did that “go over well†in your expert opinion? You obviously follow me pretty closely, so you should know that I don’t kowtow to anonymous haters like yourself.
Good day to you, sir!
You know you’ll respond. Your ego won’t permit you to ignore me.

“President Obama will keep the broken promises made by President Bush to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur.”
This is kind of low for an official government website. Maybe they could start by explaining to the Mayor of New Orleans how to maintain levees and pumps and the Governor of Louisiana how to use the Louisiana National Guard. They’re not going be able to blame Bush forever.
