In my continuing effort to study denominational differences, I bought this book the other day. It lists all the major Christian denominations, and breaks down the denominations within the denomination over such areas of the history, the Bible, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, governance, sin and salvation, and sacraments. I put together a comparison chart in a Word.doc of what I think are eight of the most common churches in the area. If you would like a copy of this comparison chart, just email me. I would post it, but I’m fear I might be violating some kind of copyright law. Don’t think of it as Cliff Notes, just Keith Notes.
Through my studies, I’m tempted to also check out the Episcopal church.

Interesting how Obama didn’t even crack a smile after Biden made a jovial comment about the Chief Justice and the oath, when Biden himself was about to administer the oath senior staffers.
I get the impression that Obama seems very determined right now, but he hasn’t been in office a week so we’lll see how that goes.

I got a kind email from someone from the National Geographic Channel thanking me for posting that Obama Air Force One video, and she asked if I would like to be kept informed of other interesting videos, so I said sure. The next day she emails back and apoligizes stating that that video may no longer play because there was an update or someing, and then provided me with the new embedded code.
WifeGeeding’s g’father used to “spontaneously dance” w/ her g’mother when a special song was heard over the t.v. It gave WifeGeeding’s mom a warm feeling just seeing how much they loved each other! Keep it up!
I’ll be shocked and pleased for you if you venture into a Circuit City store and find anything worth buying, at a price worth paying (and that wasn’t marked down from its original retail price, no matter how old it may have been).
Have fun in your search. One of the most liberating things that we ever did as a couple was loose our ties with our denomination at the time and went searching for a new church. We really found joy in the journey and the search and getting ‘to start fresh’ again in our relationship with God.

Keith….take your time on seeking where God wants you to serve….sure beats those that keep switching churches if they get their feelings hurt! 🙂
