Yesterday, Dan Aykroyd, while standing in what appeared to be a liquor store and wearing a T-shirt advertising tequila, told a reporter there were “two sharp young writers” working on a screenplay to relaunch the Ghostbusters franchise. And, astonishingly, it’s true! Last night, Variety confirmed that Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, coâ€“executive producers on the most recent season of The Office, are writing a script “designed to bring back together the original cast of Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson” in some capacity.
