Competitors attempt to run two miles from the historic Belltower at North Carolina State University to the Krispy Kreme store in downtown Raleigh. Once there, they must consume a dozen original glazed doughnuts, and then run the two (primarily uphill) miles back to campus, all in under an hour.
This year’s event had over 3000 people registered and raised over $20,000 for the North Carolina Children’s Hospital.
