Surprise Someone Today

Sorry for the lack of posts today, I’ve been real busy taking care of SisterGeeding (who is recovering well) and work is piling up.

However, I’ve been a bit melancholy as of late.  Next week will mark the one year anniversary of my mother’s death, which got me to thinking . . .

In less than 10 years this 32 year old has lost a mother, father, grandmother, a mentor (college pastor), and his best friend.

And since college graduation, I’ve had friends drown, die in a car crash, come out of a coma, lose a child, move to Europe, come home wounded from Iraq, and survive cancer.

The road of life is an interesting one, and as well as we mean to, we too often lose touch of people we are thankful that God put in our lives.

I would like to encourage all those that read this silly little blog to use the time you would normally take to read my posts and email/call/write someone you’ve been meaning to contact but just never got around to doing it.  Trust me, you’ll reap in the dividends.

To quote a 21 year old movie: “Life goes by pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. “
