‘Happy Holidays’ no more at Wal-Mart

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — Wal-Mart has told its employees that it’s OK to once again greet shoppers by saying “Merry Christmas” this holiday season instead of the generic “Happy Holidays.”

CNN confirmed that Wal-Mart will announce Thursday that it plans to use the phrase “Merry Christmas” in products and around its stores this holiday season.

I always thought people were making a mountain out of a molehill when it came to the ‘Happy Holidays’ / ‘Merry Christmas’ thing.

i really hate this “politically correct” crap. it just kills the spirit of everything! man-alive.

by the way – the walmart here in wiesbaden is closing down. it will be bought by another huge german store that’s similar to a Costco or Sam’s Club in the US. guess, the “friendliness” of the employees is something that the germans are not used to. some guys, actually, think that the cashiers is hitting on him when she smiled and said, “guten tag” to him. oyyy… customer service… something germans need to learn how to do.
