I can't help but find this behavior incredibly disturbing. Granted, I haven't raised any kids of my own so I have no room to speak on parenting or lack there of but I think back to my childhood and can't imagine disrespecting an elder/authority figure/teacher/administrator/etc with such harsh, rude and inexcusable words.
So the district is deciding whether these children will be charged with disciplinary action and Ms. Klein gets to go on a nice vacation but that won't change much and it won't undo the heartbreaking bullying that took place or prevent it from being repeated on another playground, another bus, in another classroom -towards another living, breathing, feeling member of mankind. And no, I don't have the answer but right now, I just feel a bit sickened to be part of this society.
