Olivia Munn talks about her aunt and it makes me think of my mom

Olivia Munn is already in my highly unmaintained Half-Asian Hall of Fame.  She was on Letterman last night and told a story about her aunt who has an “interesting Chinese-Vietnamese-Oklahoma accent.”  Normally I get a little irritated when I hear people do an Asian accent because I feel they are trying to belittle a person, but I find it endearing the way she does it in this interview. I guess it’s because she’s talking about family and her particular culture.  That may not make sense at all to you, and that’s okay, but it all reminded me of how my late mother with a bit of a Vietnamese- Texas accent talked and brought back a lot of good memories I haven’t thought about in a while.

The video should be cued up to start at the aunt story part . . .

Stuck in an Elevator

First item of business: Language Warning.  Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

I doubt anyone likes the idea of being suck in an elevator, but this guy got stuck in one with a guy who didn’t take the situation well.  If you don’t have much time or only want to get the gist of things, just watch the first minute of the second video.
