- I felt my first earthquake yesterday while in my upstairs office around 3:00 PM, but WifeGeeding didn’t notice anything as she was downstairs with the kiddos. I didn’t feel any of the FIVE that happened later on.
- About a week ago I mentioned that order a pair of size 4 jeans from eBay (for the wife, not for me) but when they arrived they were actually a size 4S, as in small. I contacted the seller but never got a response after five days. After that time period, eBay provides an option to investigate and they ended up crediting my PayPal account for the cost of the item as well as shipping. Yesterday I decided to leave an honest but negative review of the transaction and the seller contacted me. He said he never saw that I contacted him, noticed I got a full refund and stated that wasn’t fair, and thought I should return the jeans to him.
- I watched ‘Marvel’s Agent Carter’ last night and liked how they portrayed Howard Stark as Howard Hughes, especially when he was testifying in front of Congress. The show had a good theatrical feel to it.
- I think most men find a female with an English accent a turn on, but oddly I like it more when a woman with an English accent speaks with an American accent.
- I wasn’t too impressed with CBS11’s “investigative reporting” yesterday. Back in 2012 a female Kennedale teacher was sentenced to five years in prison for having group sex with her students. That’s inexcusable. Her husband has stayed by her side, as they have kids and he’s committed, and now he’s deployed overseas. She’s currently at home on parole with her children, but it doesn’t seem his deployment has anything to do with the parole, and she wasn’t required to register as a sex offender. CBS11, in a bit of gonzo journalism, filmed their reporter from the street going to her home and confronting the former teacher when she answered the door asking about her parole. I don’t condone what the former teacher did, but she paid the price and did the time until the legal system let her out. It seems like CBS11 is directing their anger of the early parole at the wrong subject. I might be wrong, but I’m guessing that former teacher is just trying to put the past behind her and move on, fearful what her kids might find out about what she did when their friends taunt them from what they are told or find online, and the last thing she wanted was to be on the local news for abiding by the system.
- Why are bagpipes a part of funerals, especially firefighter and police funerals? – Of course it relates back to Irish roots, had no idea that Scottish bagpipes are actually used. Why? They’re louder.

- I always get a kick that Colin Powell always gets a vote for Speaker of the House, actually, I think something like that would be cool. Many aren’t aware that one does not have to be in Congress to be Speaker.
