  • I get it, there’s a major blizzard in the northeast.  Can we move past that and get back to inflate-gate?
  • It’s crazy how an ice storm overshadowed the Super Bowl when North Texas hosted it, and NY/NJ is lucky they aren’t hosting the Super Bowl this year with that blizzard.  Not to mention, I wore shorts all of yesterday because it was so warm.
  • There’s got to be a way to harness all that excess water that will come after the snow melts from that blizzard and transport it to needed areas, like a water pipeline.
  • Even though cedar mountain is high in the pollen counts, my new allergy medicine, Xyzal, a cousin of Zyrtec, has helped tremendously.
  • DaughterGeeding asked me to go into her room to see the surgery she performed on WifeGeeding.  When I asked the little girl what kind of surgery she perform, she looked at me as if I was nuts and said, “Regular surgery.”
  • DaughterGeeding has a problem with using too much toilet paper and over-wiping.  When she finished her business yesterday, her mother asked to see the toilet paper to prove there was nothing on there and thus no need for any more wiping or paper.  DaughterGeeding quickly held up the paper and then placed it in the toilet.  WifeGeeding told her since there’s nothing on the paper, she could stop wiping, and then DaughterGeeding retorted, “Mom, I can see better than you.  You wear glasses, I don’t.  You can only see out one eye because the other is not real.  THERE was stuff on the paper.”  WifeGeeding did all she could from not cracking up.
  • Somehow Baylor got a hold of my mobile phone number and I was asked by a student if I wanted to donate funds to the university.  I told the polite young lady on the phone that WifeGeeding is an obedient Baptist that submits to her husband, so I handle the finances, and we won’t be donating any funds to Baylor because all our funds go to a real Baptist institution, Hardin-Simmons.  But for the life of us, WifeGeeding and I can’t figure out how they got my mobile phone number because she’s never given it out.  This was probably some prank arranged by a certain Wise County lawyer.
  • One of my college roommates was from the Church of Christ.  One time when he paid tuition by check, and in the memo line he wrote “Blood Sucking Baptists”.  The check eventually made its way to the president’s office, who got a good laugh from it.
  • Lewisville only has two neighborhoods with an HOA, I live in one of them.
  • I don’t mind it, but I feel like I let myself down when LiberallyLean.com posts stuff about my hometown before I do – Facebook post lands Mineral Wells man in jail
  • I read in Peter King’s MMQB that the head coach of the Green Bay Packers attended the funeral of his brother on Monday.  Man, if the Packers would have made it to the Super Bowl, what a tough week it would have been for him.
  • This guy did a Reddit Ask Me Anything about the 32-day sleep study he was paid to do for $9,000.  What I found fascinating was that not only was he cut off from the outside world – no Internet, television, papers, magazines, no daylight – but he was monitored by camera and monitors for the duration also wasn’t allowed to exercise or even know what time it was.
  • I don’t see Sen Ted Cruz making a presidential run.  I think he’s smart enough to know he’s too conservative to appeal to independent votes as his party’s nominee, and he’s more effective with the attention he can get in the Senate.
  • I’m really not a fan of Girl Scout cookies, but I think in December they should have a limited release, just selling a maximum of two boxes per customer to hype things up.

  • Letterman had Nicolle Wallace on as a guest last night.  I don’t know much about her other than she’s now a co-host on ‘The View’, worked for Bush 43, and was referenced in the book Game Change, which I enjoyed thoroughly.  She came across a very intelligent and personable, but she has one of those annoying voices.
  • The woman who gave up wearing leggings to keep men from lusting after her and to honor her husband is now stating that Satan is attacking her by using the media and people to criticize her – Christian Blogger Veronica Partridge Says She Is ‘Under Attack From Satan’ After Post Claiming Leggings Tempt Men Draws Criticism – You know, she could have just kept her actions to herself, but then again, I guess she wouldn’t be an encouragement to others.
  • People tend to tip more when they pay for a transaction using an iPad type device than tradition means, per this article.  It all has to do with the optional automated tip totals that display at the end of the transaction.
  • One thing that annoys me about college football is the amount of attention grown-ups give recruits, as if those recruits don’t have senioritis enough, as if they can’t get a bigger ego.  It’s amazing how much power and attention adults will give a high schooler.  With that said, I did get a kick when a local five-star recruit said he was choosing either the University of Phoenix or ITT Tech.  Man, when I was a kid watching ‘Get Smart’ or ‘Hogan Heroes’ right after the lunch hour, ITT had some legendary commercials.
  • Perhaps the closest Tony Romo will come to a Super Bowl – He’ll be in a Super Bowl commercial that references Dez’s catch/non-catch.
  • Discussion about new HBO documentary about Scientology was all over the Internet yesterday. I have a feeling all the talk was just part of a planned media blitz.
  • Action Women Movie Montage (Vimeo) – I don’t think there’s a better action woman than Trinity in The Matrix.
