Bush Teleconference With Soldiers Staged

I know defenders of the president will just say it’s the liberal media attacking him, but I think this part of the article pretty much sums up the whole thing:

“If he wants the real opinions of the troops, he can’t do it in a nationally televised teleconference,” Rieckhoff said. “He needs to be talking to the boots on the ground and that’s not a bunch of captains.”

I’m sure the president means well, but I don’t like how things are so scripted when it comes to him answering questions. And I’m thankful the media can provide me a perspective that I otherwise wouldn’t be aware of.
