Muslims Worshiping Inside A Christian Church
Somewhat jokingly, I can see a lot of my “Baptist to the core” friends biting their lip or pounding their fists on their desks as they read this. (They’d never admit they were Baptist to the core, but would say they are Christian to the core.)
First, you see over 300 Muslims celebrating Ramadan inside a Christian (Episcopal) church. Second, this is in the nation’s capital. Third, you learn that the pastor of the Christian church is female.
A couple sections from the article:
- “It’s our job to be the hands and feet of peace in the world, and how do we do that is by loving one another,” the Rev. Elizabeth Gardner said.
- “Look, look at that,” he said, pointing out a stained glass window showing Jesus. “I’m not Christian, I look at that. That’s beautiful.”

- Those are the fur-children of GeedingManor. And I woke up to this chaos the other morning.
- The kids are really enjoying all the He-Man cartoons, but they keep messing up the, “By the Power of Greyskull” line. Instead, they yell, “By the Power of Frisco!”

- Crystal Pepsi Is Coming Back to Stores Nationwide
- Crystal Pepsi will be available for eight weeks.
- Interesting move, and a good way to create hype for the product.
- The 1990s-era clear soda will go on sale in 20-ounce bottles for a limited time at major retailers starting July 7 in Canada and Aug. 8 in the U.S., according to PepsiCo.
- No TV ads are planned, but there will be a 90’s version of the Oregon Trail video game on their website.
- Typically, I’m not a fan of Pepsi beverages, but I loved Crystal Pepsi. But I fear my memory of the soft drink is better than what it actually is.

- On one hand, I want to commend the guy for quitting knowing he’s not the best man for the job. On the other hand, he was the chief financial officer for the neighboring city of Allen for 13-years before retiring in in 2015, so it’s not like he didn’t have an idea of McKinney’s growth.
- This is a BagOfNothing.com approved show – Halt and Catch Fire’s third season will premiere on August 23rd – I also think the actress that plays “Donna Clark” is under-rated. I think it’s the red hair.
- I like Arnold Schwarzenegger and I like Bill Clinton, I see more in them than their mistakes, but when I saw this selfie, the first thought in my mind was to caption the photo with “The Politics of Infidelity”.

- I had a good laugh seeing the new KFC commercial in which George Hamilton plays the “Extra Crispy Colonel.” You can watch it here.

- Mid-Engine Corvette in 2018?
- There’s a new Progressive commercial which is also a commercial for the new Ghostbusters movie, and you even get to see Flo. So it’s a commercial for a commercial. I’m used to seeing product placement in television and movies, but not in a commercial for another product. My guess is they both use the same advertising agency, but I’d like to think the network feels screwed that advertising time is being sold in a commercial for a commercial.
