• Remember a few months ago when Republicans were concerned that Donald Trump would not honor his pledge to endorse the eventual party nominee?
• I can’t decide if what Cruz did was political courage, selfish, or political suicide?
• Very odd that Trump just happened to be in the building during Cruz’s speech, it’s like his advisors told him he should be there just in case something crazy happens. I also thought it was odd that Cruz was holding his own event and giving a speech earlier in the day. Maybe that’s normal for losing candidates to do such a thing and thank  supporters, but I don’t think so, it just seemed like another way to get some attention. Funny how Trump ruined that with a flyover during his speech.
• After the Cruz speech, CBS News interviewed a Texas delegate who state she was disappointed in Cruz and thinks it will hurt him both locally and nationally. But I getting a kick out of this guy eyeing her with that stare and smirk the entire time.
  
• I got a feeling Cruz will be talked about much more than Gov. Mike Pence this morning.
• Local anchor, John McCaa, stated Ted Cruz was Texas’ favorite son. Is Hanson slipping something in his drink again?
• Mark Cuban was part of Colbert’s opening bit, and I thought he failed miserably at trying to be funny.
• There’s already a seasonal Halloween store open in the neighborhood, and July isn’t even over. Surely they don’t post a sales transaction everyday, who needs costumes that early? That’s something I often think about when I pass certain mall kiosks.
• Out of an abundance of caution, and being a bit of a hypochondriac, I’m going to have a cardiac calcium score screening today. I’ve got a strong family history of heart disease and high blood pressure, and have been battling high blood pressure and a high resting heart rate for a couple years. My lifestyle has changed for the better, healthwise, over the past two years, and with the advice of my doctor, we just want to get a good idea of where I’m at and hopefully put my mind at ease. I was pushing for a cardio stress test, but he didn’t think there was a need to go that far.
• I watched the George Clooney Disney film Tomorrowland yesterday and thought this bit of trivia about a character’s name on IMDB was interesting, and maybe a stretch.
  • Casey’s last name is Newton. Reversing the pronunciation of the name Casey finds the name “Isaac”. Sir Isaac Newton is considered one of the most important minds in the history of science.
