DOUGLAS COUNTY – An English teacher from West High School was arrested Tuesday, after authorities say he attempted to pay to watch two teenage girls fight.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Investigator, posing as a 14-year-old girl, started chatting on-line with 45-year-old Mark Asimus of Denver.According to investigators, Asimus told the investigator that he wanted to pay the girl to aggressively beat up another teenage girl.

Walter Payton is probably my favorite football player of all time. He was not only awesome on the football field, but he was one exceptional classy individual, and I appreciated reading things from his son’s point of view.  Since my father is gone,  and I remember watching Payton’s games with my father (also named Walter), this was a nice nostalgic read.

John Sabbath, who has had a beef with the city since his grant request for his Internet-based ministry, http://www.livinchrist.org was denied years ago, strode to the microphone and told City Manager Gregory Devereaux that a higher power had put a curse on him.
And his wife. And his children — although Devereaux doesn’t have kids.
The hex announced by the pastor, who also said that a former city employee was cursed, has prompted a debate about the parameters of public comment at Ontario City Hall.
I just visited the website to the church I use to attend when I was in college. The top banner makes me feel like I’m being hypnotized.
