I was watching the end of today’s (1/21/07) Iron Chef and noticed the screen quickly blink red. A few seconds later I start thinking, “Was that the McDonalds logo…?” Thanks to the magic of my Dish Network DVR, I rewind, and put it in to slow motion.
Sure enough, Food Network is allowing McDonalds to run subliminal advertisements in the middle of their programming!

Wayne Grudem is Research Professor of Bible and Theology at Phoenix Seminary and the former president of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. A graduate of Harvard, Westminster Theological Seminary, and the University of Cambridge, Grudem strongly supports traditional roles for men and women within the church. He spoke with Beliefnet editor Laura Sheahen about his book Countering the Claims of Evangelical Feminism, which lists church activities that should be available to men only or to both men and women.

When the wife of the hunter who shot it opened the refrigerator door, the duck lifted its head, giving her a scare.
The man’s wife “was going to check on the refrigerator because it hadn’t been working right and when she opened the door, it looked up at her,†said Laina Whipple, a receptionist at Killearn Animal Hospital. “She freaked out and told the daughter to take it to the hospital right then and there.â€
