Shuttle’s Name Misspelled On NASA Launch Pad Sign

13675103.jpegThe first NASA sign at launch pad 39A encouraging the next launch of space shuttle Endeavour at Kennedy Space Center was misspelled and noticed by someone looking at the craft.

When the shuttle rolled out from the Vehicle Assembly Building Wednesday, a giant “Go Endeavour” sign was put on a fence in front of the craft.

However, one item was missing from the sign: the “u” in Endeavour.

Someone spotted the mistake and called KSC to fix it, WKMG-TV reported.

NASA scrambled someone out to pad 39A with a new sign that has orbiter Endeavour’s name spelled correctly.

UK Schools told to dump Churchill and Hitler from history lessons

Secondary schools will strip back the traditional curriculum in favour of lessons on debt management, the environment and healthy eating, ministers revealed. Even Winston Churchill no longer merits a mention after a drastic slimming-down of the syllabus to create more space for “modern” issues.

This means pupils may no longer hear about his stirring speeches during the Second World War, when he told Parliament that defeating Hitler would be Britain’s “finest hour“.

I was not aware . . .

And I found this interesting:

During the Fall of Berlin, before Hitler committed suicide, he ordered his physician Dr. Stumpfegger to test his cyanide pills on Blondi to ensure they worked in order to prevent any harm to her by the invading Soviets. Soviets later found the bodies of Blondi and one puppy.

On April 30, 1945, on Hitler’s orders, Blondi, Hitler and Eva Braun were cremated with diesel fuel in the Reich Chancellery garden above his bunker.
