Each week we’ll explore the music of the band “The Police” and the questions they raise about life. Sermon/song titles include:

“Hole in My Life”: Everyone has to make the decision to follow Christ and stay on the path to full devotion
“Spirits in a Material World”: We have to plug-in to God and others at our weekend services.
“So Lonely”: We have to charge-up to become like Christ in small group gatherings.
“Driven to Tears”: We have to live-out our faith by serving at Oak Hills or in our community.
“Message in a Bottle”: Live a missional life

Celebrity Bull Riding

While flipping channels I came across a show called Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge.

There are a total of nine celebrities that travel down to Stephenville, TX to take part of this challenge.  Stephenville is pretty close to my home town and they were always in our district when it came to high school sports.  That really stunk when it came time for football season because they were a powerhouse when I was in high school.

The most notable celebrities are Vanilla Ice, Rocket Ismail, and Stephen Baldwin.

Interesting concept for a show, but was only about 10 minutes worth of interesing for me.

Here’s Rocket on a practice run:

Traveling to East Texas with Dr. S.M. Lockridge

A while back I made a post about an Igniter Media video that used one of Dr. S.M. Lockridge’s sermons in which he describes the character and goodness of Jesus Christ.  Well, a loyal BagOfNothing.com reader was nice enough to send me a CD of his sermons .  I have to say this made my journey to East Texas a very pleasant and spiritual uplifting one.  Thanks, Kim!

And I’m going to post the video again just because I like it so very much.
