NFL Week 5 Recap

I’m just 0.97 of a point away from second place.

This week I was 10 of 14, which puts me 49/76 or 64% total, one point higher than last week.  Making 70% for the year was my non-stated goal and is tougher than I thought.

Children and pets make wonderful portrait studies. But remember that great care should be taken during the photo sessions to insure a safe situation. Some general safety guidelines are:

Always have a second person with you to give you assistance. It isn’t wise to try to handle the camera, the child, and the animal alone.

Always wash the childs hands and face to ensure that the pet won’t smell food odors and attempt to lick or nip the child thinking he is being offered a snack. It is best to keep any animals away from the faces of small children.

Always make the sessions quick. Children and animals aren’t the most patient subjucts. Fatigue and crankiness can lead to injury. Several “short and sweet” sessions will be less stressful for everyone.

Always make sure that the child and the animal involved are calm and good natured. Be responsible and safe during any photo sessions. Don’t forget to get parental permission if the child is not yours and to have the parent at the photo shot if at all possible.

Wow . . .

Tony Romo threw 5 interceptions and lost a fumble.

The Cowboys were down by 8 with less than two minutes to go, scores a touchdown, doesn’t convert the two point conversion, covers an on-side kick, has a catch overturned, makes a long field goal only to have to rekick again because of shady (but totally legal) time out call, and still wins the game.  That sentence probably makes no sense but that was the last two minutes of the game.

The Cowboys never lead at any point until the clock read zero, but that’s all that matters.  They didn’t play well enough to win, but some how got it done.  Probably the best Cowboys come from behind victory I’ve seen, for sure top 3.

At least for this week Nick Folk will be more popular than Tony Romo.

The work week always seems to last longer when the Cowboys lose, and this is one work week I don’t want to drag on.  I’m thankful for this win.  Now I’m left with Bostonians telling me how the Patriots are going to kill the Cowboys for the rest of the week.  On paper the Pats should win, but hopefully if Romo and the ‘Boys can control the turnovers, get a little lucky, and with homefield advantage on their side they might just have a chance.
