I have a 20 month old grandaughter and a 14 month old grandson who are dressing up as Pebbles and Bambam for Halloween. I decided they needed a Flintstone Car to complete the look. This is how I made it…
I never thought of the other person
During the World Series the local media here in DFW covered a story about a heart transplate of a 13 year old boy who was a Red Sox fan. It turns out his heart surgeon was also a fan, and mentioned that if he pulls through and the Red Sox makes it to the World Series, she would take him to the game. Not only did he get to go to a game, but he actually got to throw out the first pitch at game two of the World Series.
Touching story, but for some reason I never took the time to think about the sad part of the story – there had to be a death for him to receive that heart.
Turns out that heart belonged to a 24 year old woman who just gave birth to her first child some 12 days prior.
You can read a touching story about her husband here [Link Removed].
The Human Factor
I recently read that Clint Eastwood is directing a movie about Nelson Mandela.
Care to guess who’s playing Mr. Mandela?
Morgan Freeman.
Not only is that great casting, but sounds like it’s going to be one heck of a movie.

Weber, 59, died Thursday from a heart attack after swimming at a local YMCA. He served as the Cowboys’ chaplain for more than 20 years, building a trust with players that has lasted well after careers had ended.
