Grandma Uses Jesus To Stop A Robber

7464669_bg1.jpgA 92-year old grandmother from Dyersburg talked a would-be robber out of taking her money, by praying with him.

Pauline Jacobi just finished putting her groceries in her car, when a man got into her passenger seat.

That man told Jacobi he had a gun, and he would shoot her if she didn’t give him all her money.

The spunky 92-year old said no, and then she started talking with the would-be robber.

“I said Jesus is in this car and he goes with me everywhere I go. He just looked around and the tears just began coming down his eyes,” Jacobi said.

Jacobi talked with the man for several more minutes. Then he said he was going to go home and pray.

The grandmother then willing gave him all the money she had on her, which was $10.

A Legend in the Making

Dallas fans are so very luck to have this guy as our QB.  It really is a pleasure watching him play, and we better enjoy it while we can.

And I got this email probably just two minutes after the game:

That’s our first division title since 1998.

But it’s all for not if we can’t win a playoff game.  But so far this journey has been oh so fun.

Update: BagOfNothing.com Christmas Card Experiment 2.1 – Your chance to help fight lupus

My third Christmas card came in the mail today and it’s from Nathan and Nancy of New York City – they were nice enough to mention that they made a donation to help fight lupus.  With a total of three cards, that’s $3 I’ll donate to help fight lupus.

Nathan and Nancy, thanks for the card, donation, and being a loyal BON reader!

So that’s one card from Texas, one card from North Carolina, and one card from New York.

A small recap of the experiment of me trying to see if any of you are willing to send me a Christmas card:

Option 1:  You can make a direct donation to the Lupus Research Institute in memory of Kim Geeding.  Have the acknowledgement sent to my address, and I’ll consider that my Christmas card.  I’ve done some research, and out of all the lupus organizations I feel most comfortable with the Lupus Research Institute came out on top.

Option 2:  If you just want to send a card and no money, then I will total up all the cards received before Dec 25, and for each card donate a dollar (up to $50) to the Lupus Research Institute.  If you include any money, I’ll make sure to donate the funds directly to the Lupus Research Institute.

Send all cards to

Keith “BagOfNothing” Geeding
421 Vista Noche Dr
Lewisville, TX 75067-8345

Please be sure to include the “BagOfNothing” in the name so I know the card comes from a reader and not the dentist or plumber.
