Yesterday I mentioned CBS was rebooting ‘Magnum P.I.’. The new Higgins will be female this time around. A couple years ago there was talk of rebooting the series with Thomas Magnum’s daughter taking the lead role, which I thought was a great idea. In the series finale, you see Magnum returning to the Navy and taking in his young daughter who he thought was dead.
I totally forgot how hard it could be to watch a newly released movie. Sometimes you go to the movie theater only to find out it was sold out. Nowadays, you can find that out online and even reserve your seats.
Forrest Whitaker is in Black Panther and a younger actor plays a younger version of him. I was really impressed with the casting because I saw a lot of similar physical features and learned the younger actor is named Denzel Whitaker. My first thought was that’s his son, but it turns out they aren’t related. Interestingly, they have played father and son in another movie.
Bono and The Edge did a bit on ‘Ellen’ in which they took her staff’s Starbucks orders. The bit wasn’t really that funny but I cracked up the show used subtitles when Bono spoke but didn’t for The Edge.
For you TICKET listeners, yesterday was TC’s last night. It looks like he’s doing something local but other than that he didn’t really give a clue on what he’ll be doing.
GIF – You won’t ever see a cat help you uproot a bush or a tree.
GIF – If you loved the movie Airplane! and played a lot of Nintendo video games, you’ll appreciate this GIF.
To my surprise, Black Panther was able to rent last night via my Amazon TV device. It wasn’t my favorite Marvel movie but I certainly enjoyed it. WifeGeeding also enjoyed it, but she was really impressed with the visuals and scenery.
I’m going through a bit of a rough patch right now, and perhaps one day I may be able to share some details about it. But I’m thankful how a movie can give me a bit of an escape from real life and real problems.
I called my friend Jimi yesterday just to get some stuff off my chest, but I have to admit I lied to him at the beginning of our conversation. He was politely wondering why I called and I said I just wanted to see how things were with him. That was true, but I also just needed to talk to a friend, someone who knows the background of my childhood and everything that makes me tick.
Exact same car, but no mustache, no Aloha shirt, no Tigers hat
I keep seeing articles this week which marked the 20th anniversary of Frank Sinatra’s death and the Seinfeld finale. It’s easy to remember where I was at the time, I was in New York for a university class trip. Sandra, you were there. If I recall, Barry over at LiberallyLean was also there and we may have been at the same Yankee’s game. They were playing the Twins.
This should be a fun watch. – ESPN Films, quickly becoming the go-to for quality sports documentaries, has announced a partnership with Netflix to co-produce The Last Dance, a 10-part look at basketball icon Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls’ final 97-98′ championship run.
Most living room ceiling fans are about 55-inches. Our 55-inch fan just hasn’t provided enough air flow for our living room with a 12-foot ceiling, so I just installed a 70-inch fan and I couldn’t have been happier.
I fixed one of BoyGeeding’s toys and playfully asked him, “Who’s the best?” thinking he would say, “You are, Dad.” But no. Instead, he said, “Well, God and Jesus, but you’re a great dad.”
The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem opened yesterday and I don’t really have any opinions about it other than I don’t like First Baptist Pastor Robert Jeffress basking in the spotlight.
The latest episode of CBS’s ‘Maden Secretary’ referenced that a character was from Plano, Texas of all places.
When I was a kid watching all the Christopher Reeves Superman movies I always wondered why they chose such an unattractive Lois Lane. Yeah, that sounds harsh, but I was a pretty judgemental kid.
On Monday, Adult Swim announced that it will revive Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law for a brand-new, one-off special called Harvey Birdman: Attorney General.
There’s now a family sharing option similar to services like iCloud, for starters — up to six family members can share a plan, each with their own private storage areas.
Google has added a new 200GB plan for $3 per month, and the 2TB plan is down to $10 per month from the earlier $20. Existing tiers are still hanging around and range from 100GB for $2 per month to a hefty 30TB for $300 per month.
