This commercial comes on frequently and it drives me batty. That music just gets on my nerves, and why the heck does it have to go on and on repeating itself for over two minutes? Urgh.
London Stinks
A foul smell permeating London and parts of England over the past two days is due to farmers on the European continent spreading manure in their fields, forecasters and British farmers said Saturday.
The agricultural odor is inescapable in central London and smells vaguely of farmland or even garbage.
Forecasters said a stiff breeze from the east is carrying the smell across the North Sea from Belgium, the Netherlands and even Germany. They said the smell is likely to hang around through the weekend as the easterly wind continues.
Random Technology Wish
Dear Technology Gods –
I wish there was a “Character/Actor” button on my remote control that I could push when I watch television or a DVD. One push of the button would place the name of the character just below the actual character on the screen, another push of the button would show you the actor’s name. A third push of the button would turn the feature off.
If you could make this happen by next month that would be really nice.
Sincerely,
Geeding

Programming Note: Thursday Night Programming To Air Overnight
Overnight Friday, NBC will rebroadcast part of Thursday night’s prime-time line-up after storm coverage preempted regular programming.
This rebroadcast means NBC 5 will not air Saturday morning’s episode of “In Wine Country” or the rebroadcast of “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno.
The rebroadcast will begin at 2:04 a.m. Saturday with Thursday’s episode of “My Name Is Earl.” “30 Rock” will air at 2:34 a.m. and “The Office” will air at 3:04 a.m.
Please manually set your recording device as we do not expect TIVO or other digital recording devices to detect these programming changes.
Additionally, all three shows can be seen on demand at Hulu.com.
