New Sites Make It Easier To Spy on Your Friends

If you are still relying on Google to snoop on your friends, you are behind the curve.

Armed with new and established Web sites, people are uncovering surprising details about colleagues, lovers and strangers that often don’t turn up in a simple Internet search. Though none of these sites can reveal anything that isn’t already available publicly, they can make it much easier to find. And most of them are free.

From the Earth to the Moon

I just started to watch this mini-series and so far it’s amazing.

But here’s a thought for you.

The Wright Brothers first flight was on December 17, 1903.

Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon on July 20, 1969.

That’s just a difference of 66 years.  It’s amazing that so much advancement has happened in such a short time frame.  A person could have been alive and watched both the first flight and man landing on the moon in his or her lifetime.

The last time man was on the moon was December 11, 1972.  From a personal point of view, I find it interesting man hasn’t been to the moon in my lifetime.

Heads turn up on different bodies in McKinney yearbooks

MCKINNEY — A photo company says it’s taking full responsibility for altered pictures that ruined a high school yearbook and will pay to have the publication reprinted before the seniors graduate.

Students at McKinney High School were stunned to get their yearbooks this week and see that some heads had been put on other people’s bodies, sometimes of the other sex, and one girl appeared to be nude.

Small Bag of Randomness

  • I had cornbread salad for the first time in my life today, in Cleburne, TX of all places.
  • For the heck of it, WifeGeeding and I test drove a Lexus 350I and wasn’t really that impressed, we prefer our Nissan Altima.
  • We finally did a Sleep Number test, my Sleep Number is a 50 and WifeGeeding’s is 40.
  • I just checked out the Prestonwood website (it’s 10 PM Saturday night) and was surprised there isn’t one mention on the website about the associate preacher sex scandal that I posted about in the previous post. There’s nothing on the homepage or the “In The News” section. Personally, I think the church should be upfront, open, honest, and direct about what happened and how they are going forward with this situation. I know the head pastor made mention of it to the congregation Saturday night, but I was a bit surprised there is nothing about it on the website. The church shouldn’t hide from this, but use the opportunity to show how it responds to adversity. Hopefully the church can move forward, and despite the the horrific actions of this pastor, I hope the church is doing what it can to minister to this now ex-associate pastor. If there is anytime to minister to anyone, there’s no better time than when a person is at their absolute low.
  • The Stars had an impressive win, but can they win two more in a row? The odds are stacked against them but that’s the fun of sports.
  • WifeGeeding and I have recently discovered the NBC show 30 Rock and think it’s the funniest show on television. We just finished watching season one of it on DVD. Watching the pilot show is always interesting, because it allows you to see how they have adapted the show and character development from the onset. I think tomorrow I’m going to buy/rent From the Earth to the Moon. I heard great things about it, but have never watched it and it seems like something I would enjoy.
  • I find it interesting I have not seen one John McCain bumper sticker.
