Cowboys Uniform Modifications

I’m not sure when the modifications occurred, but you can certainly see a difference in uniforms over the last decade or so.  I prefer the old uniform with the darker blue, striped socks, and grayish pants.   I think the newer uniforms looks like a cheap knockoff you would find on a street corner.  I bet this is the reason why we haven’t won a playoff game in so long – the uniforms.  Not bad coaching or draft picks or free agency signings, but the change in uniform.  Yeah, that’s it . . .

Family angry that supermarket won’t personalize cake for their son

Good names for a trio of toddlers? Heath and Deborah Campbell think so. The Holland Township couple has picked those names and the oldest child, Adolf Hitler Campbell, turns 3 today.

This has given rise to a problem, because the ShopRite supermarket in Greenwich Township has refused to make a cake for young Adolf’s birthday.

“We believe the request … to inscribe a birthday wish to Adolf Hitler is inappropriate,” said Karen Meleta, a ShopRite spokeswoman.

The Campbells turned down the market’s offer to make a cake with enough room for them to write their own inscription and can’t understand what all of the fuss is about.

ENCINITAS — “Most of the world eats on less than a dollar a day,” Christopher Greenslate said, spearing single grains of Spanish rice on his fork. “And we thought, why couldn’t we do the same?”

Next to him, Kerri Leonard nodded. “It didn’t start as a big statement — it began as a way to save money,” she said. After a particularly expensive month this summer, they agreed that the magnitude of their food expenditures was ridiculous. Eventually the question arrived: Why not eat on $1 a day? So they did. Starting Sept. 1 and ending Sept. 30, they limited themselves to a $1 a day allowance for food.
