- If you like videos of cute pets, I recommend PetTube. It’s sorta like America’s Funniest Videos Pet Edition.
- If you have a microphone, this website allows you to draw a picture using nothing but your voice.
- Regarding the Stimulus Package, I’m on board with the Republicans and their concerns with where some of that money is being spent, funds need to go where there will be an immediate impact on job growth, but I’m not on board with the amount of tax cuts they want.
- I can’t tell if this video is suppose to be funny or serious, but either way, this old lady does fancy tech talk to help her church.
- Right after Springsteen’s halftime performance, the item “how old is bruce springsteen” was highly searched on The Google.
- And this is how many people that visited my Brenda Warner post on Super Sunday.
- And I found this interesting stat from Peter King’s MMQB: John Elway played in five Super Bowls. Joe Montana played in four. Kurt Warner has played in three — and has thrown for more yards than both Montana and Elway.
- There are only 220 more days until the next regular season NFL game. Can it hurry up and get here.
- I recently saw an HBO special on Al Michaels. It turns out the only reason why he was selected to broadcast the Miracle on Ice game was that he was the only announcer of the entire ABC Olympic crew to have announced a hockey game. And here’s the kicker, before that Lake Placid game he only announced one other hockey game.
- The other day at work we all spontaneously sang cheesy love songs of the 80’s, starting with “I’m All Out of Love” by Air Supply followed by some Chicago.
- I find the new logo on Sarah Palin’s new PAC website a bit funny. I know she’s trying to showcase Alaska, but it looks like she’s putting a big ol’ hole in the middle of America.
- I decided to revamp the personal finance course that I teach and decided to see what kind of resources are out on the Internets. I was surprised to know that the online version of Quicken is now free.
- After I made that Punky Brewster post, one of my readers informed me that Soleil Moon Frye is the owner of The Little Seed.

Skydiver lands with dying instructor at his back
Daniel Pharr says he was in the middle of his first-ever skydive, thousands of feet over South Carolina, when the instructor strapped to his back stopped talking to him Saturday.
The instructor, George “Chip” Steele of Skydive Carolina, was later pronounced dead. But as they were falling, Pharr — an Army soldier taking a private skydiving lesson — knew only that Steele wasn’t responding.
Pharr said he “went into survival mode,” using his military training to calm himself as he tried to get to ground safely.
“We’re just taught to deal with adversity, whether it be on the battlefront or at home or … up in the air, and you just do what you have to do — assess the situation and keep a calm head about you because it doesn’t do anybody any good to panic,” said Pharr, a private in the Army.
Pharr, able to steer himself only in right circles because he could use only the parachute’s right steering mechanism, managed to maneuver away from some obstructions and landed safely in Chester, South Carolina.
When they landed, Pharr attempted CPR, but it was too late.
Steele, 49, appeared to have died of a heart attack, Chester County Coroner Terry Tinker told the Rock Hill (South Carolina) Herald. An autopsy was being conducted Monday.
The Bob Hayes Letter
The best moment of this Super Bowl week took place this afternoon in a conference room at the Super Bowl media center, when Lucille Hester, the sister of former Cowboys wide receiver Bob Hayes, read a letter that her late brother wrote to her before he died, detailing what he wanted to say if he was ever selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. That selection came today, and the letter that Hester read brought goose bumps and audible gasps to those in the room.

Hester also thanked Rick Gosselin and Paul Zimmerman, two Hall of Fame voters who have long championed Hayes’ induction.
Jesus Wins Super Bowl
TAMPA – Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane!
It’s a plane towing “Super Bowl Champion is Jesus” banner!
Weather permitting, that’s the message scheduled to fly over the Tampa Bay area from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
“We advertise everything else in the skies, from Hooters to Budweiser. Why not the Lord?” says Jack Kelley, a retired pastor from Tampa. He coordinated the effort with Richard Norman, a retired airline pilot from Tallahassee.
This is the sixth time – three at the Miami Super Bowls, and two others in Tampa – that the banner has graced Florida’s airspace in the days before the championship game.
The men solicited donations from fellow Christians to underwrite the $4,300 cost to rent the service from Van Wagner Aerial Media in Hollywood, Fla.
Kelley thinks it’s worth every penny.
“God doesn’t care who wins the Super Bowl. He’s concerned about the players, the fans and everyone else,” he says. “If the world ever needed some good news, it’s right now, today.”
