Further evidence that Texas A&M is a cult

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) – College Station must seem like heaven to many Aggies. So the city of College Station is putting the finishing touches on an eternal resting place for them.

The new Memorial Cemetery of College Station is set to open in a few weeks, and it’s reserved a special section for Aggies and their supporters who want to be close to the Texas A&M campus forever.

The Aggie Field of Honor can accommodate 2,900 Aggie graves and overlooks Kyle Field in the distance.

White, African, American

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. – A former student claims in a lawsuit that the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey discriminated against him for the way he described his background in classroom discussions on cultural diversity.

Paulo Serodio said that in 2006, he told a professor and classmates that he was “white, African, American,” which he says accurately reflects the fact that he was born in Mozambique but later became a U.S. citizen.

He said some classmates and staff members at New Jersey Medical School found it offensive that a Caucasian man would call himself “African-American” and that the fallout led to harassment and eventually his suspension from the school.

Dog that chewed off its own feet to escape trap walks again thanks to prosthetics

If there was ever a dog that deserved a second chance, Andre is that dog.

He’s been living with just two legs for a long time.

“He’s just a fun loving guy, very warm personality,” Martin Kaufmann with OrthoPets said.

Andre came a long way to meet Kaufmann in Denver, Colorado.

The 3-year-old Shepherd-Rottweiler-Lab mix is from Alaska and lost his front and back left legs when he was caught in an illegal wild animal trap.

He chewed off his own paws to get free and for weeks, he lived under a truck camper shell.

He only weighed 38 pounds when Alaskan Dog and Puppy Rescue found him.

Andre’s rescuers contacted OrthoPets to make him prosthetic legs.

“With just two legs, he can’t stand up,” Kaufmann said.

Just two days after that first fitting, on Wednesday Andre got his first second chance to stand.

Top 10 Most Common Ingredients in Fast Food

Order a meal in any fast-food restaurant, and you’ll likely walk away with a sandwich, fries and a drink. If you had to identify the ingredients of this meal, you might list beef (or chicken), lettuce, tomato, cheese, ketchup, bread, potatoes and soda. Not complicated, right? Wrong.

Burger and chicken joints don’t think of the building blocks of a menu item as ingredients. They think of them as components, which are made of ingredients. For example, McDonald’s famous Big Mac jingle — “two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun” — suggests the sandwich has seven components. Would you believe it has 67 ingredients?
