  • I think for most businesses, yesterday was the most productive day in five year with both Facebook and Twitter not working.
  • I found a really cool site called Car Zen.  It’s for people like me that want a new car, but don’t have an idea of what car they want.  It asks you a series of questions about your tastes, what you want in a car, what’s a must have or would just be nice, and then you get your results in which you can filter.  Pretty cool concept.

  • I’m a high-functioning introvert.
  • Photos of science fiction authors in their writing room
  • Made me laugh
  • A funny wedding cake – at least for geeks that like actions movies
  • Restaurant Threatens To Kick Out Baby Not Wearing Shoes
  • John Hughes dies of a heart attack at age 59 yesterday.  Billy Mays dies of a heart attack this year at the age of 50.  Last year Tim Russert dies of a heart attack at age 58.  Stuff like that really scares me.
  • Not that I have a choice, per se, but if I would really not want to die in my sleep at a young age.
  • Steve Eager of Fox4 sure sounds like he’s whining a lot when he does that stupid “Newsedge” segment.  It’s gotten to the point that I might just switch to the WB33 news at 9:00 PM.
  • The Shark Week commercials for the Discovery Channel sure have been attention grabbing.
  • I’m watching the America’s Game Missing Rings series on the NFL Network right now.  This one focuses on the 1998 Minnesota Vikings.  Man, I forgot how good of a team they were.  They finished 15-1 in the regular season, had the highest scoring offense in NFL history, and the most heartbreaking of it all, their kicker’s only missed field goal in two years was the one that really mattered.  Definitely the best team to never go to a Super Bowl.
  • The next show team showcased was the 2000 Baltimore Ravens.  The most shocking thing of that season . . . Tony Banks actually threw for five touchdowns in one game.  Yes, that Tony Banks.
  • I remember when Banks came to Dallas to replace Troy Aikman.  Banks usually wore the number 12, and asked for that number when he came to Dallas, only to be laughed at.
  • But oddly enough, I recall seeing a number twelve Banks jersey in a Champs sporting goods store.  That royally ticked me off.
  • Newsweek has a mug shot quiz that is a bit of a timewaster.

  • I have no plans this weekend, and that’s how I like it.
