Have yourself a microscopic Christmas

For most children the challenge is trying to build the biggest snowman.

Scientists, however, enjoy taking on altogether trickier tasks.

They have built the world’s smallest snowman, measuring just 0.01mm across – one fifth of the width of the average human hair.

Bag of Randomness

  • First off, thank you all so very much for taking the time to answer my baby products question.  WifeGeeding and I are thankful for all your input that I know will make our life easier.  Thanks for helping us out on this new journey, and I plan on asking some more questions in the future.
  • My goodness that was one heck of a defensive battle in the Big 12 Championship.  McCoy most likely lost the Heisman race, and I think Texas is going to get creamed in the BCS title game.
  • Jordan Shipley was the holder on that game winning field goal.  As expected, the Nebraska coach called a timeout to ice the Texas kicker, Hunter Lawrence.  During that timeout Shipley quoted scripture to Lawrence to calm him down – according to Lawrence in a post game interview.
  • As much as I love to root for the Longhorns, I think I wouldn’t have minded a loss because I love chaos when it comes to the BCS, and I would have loved to see TCU with a chance to be in the BCS title game.  Those Cornhuskers should did play their hearts out.
  • Something I didn’t realize – Texas is 25-1 in their last 26 games, including 17 in a row.
  • I don’t think a QB is going to win the Heisman this year.  But if did you know that if Alabama’s RB Mark Ingram wins, he will be the schools first Heisman Trophy winner?  Considering the great history of that football program, that’s just amazing.
  • As much as I wanted tot he beginning of the Cowboys/Giants game, I would have much rather caught the end of the Saints/Skis game.  Man, the Redskins fans must be heartwrenched.  Speaking of OT – coin toss winning teams now 4-6 in OT this year.
  • Dallas will go winless this December.  Wade won’t be here much longer, and neither will Garrett.
  • The Patriots lose, and their fans have the same look in their eyes as I did as a Cowboys fan back in 1998 realizing that things weren’t quite the same anymore.
  • Miley Cyrus has a tattoo.  It’s not a tramp stamp, but it is right underneath her breast, which you can see in this bikini picture – and I can’t tell if that top is padded or not, but then again I’m not an expert when it comes to bikini tops and their functionality.  The tattoo from my understanding is in honor of a friend who died, but I think there are other places to have a tattoo.
  • The Krispy Kreme on 635/MacArthur is no more, it’s been torn down.  That building wasn’t even ten years old.
  • Though nearly everyone knows the rough outline of the Nativity story, many people are ignorant of the Bible’s specific details.
  • I really enjoyed watching the NBC series The West Wing, and if you were a fan, you might find this as interesting as I did.
  • A Pennsylvania student asked President Obama to “check out” legalizing drugs, prostitution, gambling, and non-violent crimes as a possible way to stimulate the economy.  YouTube It takes guts to ask such a question, but I would say it would also be hard to answer the question in a way in a way that isn’t offensive or paints your self in a corner.
  • Brothers living in cave to inherit billions from lost grandmother
  • I just can’t get that header ad to center and I’ve tried all sorts of code. Grr.

Taking All Baby Product Suggestions

As you know, WifeGeeding and I are going to be first time parents and we are clueless when it comes to baby products.

Pretty soon we will be buying and registering for all things baby, but I thought I would take this time and ask all you experts a few questions, most of which relate to each other:

  • If you could recommend one baby product that will make life easier, what would that be?
  • What’s the one thing as a new parent that you can’t live without?
  • Are there any brands that we should steer clear of, or that we should steer towards?
  • If there is one book you would recommend either for pre or post birth events, what’s the book?
  • Is there a store that you recommend above all others when it comes to buying all thing baby?
